Hi, for myself I got the 150-600, it is more crispy and internal zooming, which makes a lot of a difference in gimbal heads

I want to capture birds but also motorsport and sports. But all for creative and artistic photography purposes. What would you categorize each for?

@lionsborn no regrets at all, but I also have the 70-300, which is a wonderful lens. If you're torn between the two, I'd say try with the 70-300 first. Maybe but used so in case it's not the length for you you can resell without wasting money

I personally prefer the 27mm, but I also sold the 33mm. My trio would be 18mm, 27mm and 56mm. Also, the 27mm Viltrox is a stellar lens

I had the Sony 70-350 for a while after I posted this review... With my copy of the Tamron there was no comparison at all. The Sony was leaps and bounds above the tamron in sharpness

Ho fatto un video al riguardo. Sony fa obiettivi molto furbi, intelligenti e per tutte le tipologie di utenza. Fuji invece è nel limbo. Obiettivi poco "ibridi", il video è quasi sempre lasciato indietro

Un 3.5 costante sarebbe più grosso e pesante. L'idea è di creare un'ottica compatta e leggera da portare ogni giorno. La sto usando sempre di più e secondo me questa è l'ottica giusta. Sul rinnovo delle ottiche siamo d'accordo. Io aspetto un nuovo 18mm F2 compatto e leggero

Ciao, non l'ho provato su Sony. Otticamente i risultati saranno uguali. Però certo l'11mm 1.8 è una gran figata. Alternative sono il sigma 10-18 e appunto l'11mm 1.8. il Viltrox è meno grandangolare, molto più grosso e pesante. Non lo considero una vera alternativa, anche se è un'ottica pazzesca

Scusa il ritardo. Allora, il problema che vedo per quel tipo di uso è il buffer, che è un po' limitato, e il potenziale Rolling shutter. Il secondo però è un problema che non risolvi con una X-T5, il primo si. Sono di ritorno dall' Islanda e devo dirti che mi sono trovato con dei puffin a sorpresa e, settata bene, la X-T50 è stata eccellente. Però a 13fps in otturatore elettronico il buffer dura poco

Ciao, premesso che non sono un astrofotografo, quindi prendi quello che ti dico con le pinze. Per astrofotografia prenderei probabilmente un Samyang 12mm F2, nella versione manual focus. Focheggiare in manuale, di notte, con i moderni obiettivi autofocus fly by wire non è per niente semplice. Un buon obiettivo manual focus ti permette invece di focheggiare a infinito in maniera molto più precisa

@@LucaPetraliaPhotography Why am I asking this? You have a Canon EF in the background, perhaps the 300mm f/2.8 mark1 is cheaper. And it covers the GFX sensor well. They offer me a Canon EF 400 f/2.8 mark1 for $4000. It’s brand new, it was in a warehouse, no fly sat on it. So I’m faced with the choice of EF400 mm f2.8 or this GFX 500 mm f5.6. Even with a little vignetting, the EF seems more tempting to buy than the GFX. Dilemma or problem.

They're both great options. I love the 16-80 too. But the weight and size difference is very noticeable

It's a valid argument, however in my opinion the Fuji, despite being kit, is optically better, especially when paired to high resolution cameras. Also, as an all around lens, having the 16mm at the wide end is a huge advantage

Did you actually try it? Cause you're right, there's more to an image than sharpness... And this lens is better, in every possible way other than OIS and half a stop at the tele end. There's more to an image than stabilization or half a stop difference

Well, ois and half a stop matters if your camera doesn't have a stacked, back illuminated and stabilized sensor.

@@Neeverseen It does, reality is Fuji is making cheaper built lenses;, removing functions and wanting a more money for them than there actually worth.

Grazie. Il sigma è una buona alternativa ma otticamente il Fuji è superiore. Il sigma l'ho avuto, mi è piaciuto, è sicuramente piccolo e leggero, ma perdere quei 2mm m grandangolo fa tanto

I don't find this - I sold my 70-300 for the 55-200. I am way more happy with that - the 70-300 was terrible with refocusing after zooming. This was bad enough for photography but attrocious for video. The combined with the 18-55, I have no loss of focal length. In general, not many people really need the lenses to resolve at 40MP - the older ones still revolve to > 30MP, and unless you are cropping a lot or printing posters - that is all marketing hype. reviews of the 18-55 vs 16-50 I haver seen have shown no significant difference - and they are the same size, but minus OIS.

Put a UV filter on it and it’s essential internally sealed.

It's gonna go down in price for sure, and yes, it is not "internal zooming" but just slap a filter on it and the fear is over. As for the macro I get your point, but there's always some compromise when you have a super small and lightweight zoom lens

Speriamo che arricchiscano il parco ottiche perchè è abbastanza evidente che le vecchie non ce la fanno (al di là di quello che fuji si è trovata "costretta" a dichiarare) e la scelta è un po' pochina. Sarebbe anche bello che fuji proponesse questo 16-50 in kit anche con la xh2 che è quella che poi mi interesserebbe in alternativa alla a7iv.

Per adesso quel kit non sembra sia previsto. Però secondo me alla fine lo faranno

I'm sure the Sigma is better.

The Fuji is sharper and overall better optically... However the Sigma has the f2.8 at the telephoto end that may make a lot of a difference depending on the usage
